James Park is a CG Supervisor at Sony Pictures Imageworks currently working on the sequel to SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE.

Park joined Imagewoks in 2002 and has served as 3D matchmove artist, lighting lead, key lighting lead, and lookdev TD. His credits include: THE POLAR EXPRESS, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, STORKS, LUCKY 13, an episode of Netflix’s critically-acclaimed animated anthology LOVE, DEATH & ROBOTS, the Academy Award®-Winning SPIDER-MAN : INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE, and VIVO.

Park began his career at Centropolis FX as a digital artist. He is originally from Los Angeles, California.

What is your proudest achievement while working at Imageworks?
Working with the look development team on building the CG Times Square for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 and as a lighting lead creating mind blowing images in SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE.
 
What inspired you to become involved in making movies?
When I was 5-years old I saw E.T. THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL on opening night and had to sit in the first row because the theater was packed. I made it out alive and knew there was something special with this format of storytelling.
