CG Supervisor
Joseph Pepper is a CG Supervisor at Sony Pictures Imageworks, currently working on the live-action feature, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA.
In 2006, Pepper joined Imageworks as a Technical Director and has worked on numerous live-action and animated features. His credits include: DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS, THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER, the Academy Award®-nominated THE MITCHELLS VS. THE MACHINES, VIVO, SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, SUICIDE SQUAD, ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, THE SMURFS 2, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, WATCHMEN, I AM LEGEND, and SPIDER-MAN 3.
Prior to joining Imageworks, Pepper worked at the Jim Henson company as a sequence designer. His credits include: ARE WE THERE YET?, FIVE CHILDREN AND IT, and LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE.
Earlier he was a Senior Technical Director at Framestore and a Technical Director at MillFilm where his credits include: HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS, BLACK HAWK DOWN, LAURA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER, SUPERMAN RETURNS, and X-MEN: THE LAST STAND.
Pepper earned a B.S. and a Master’s degree in Computer Graphics from Bournemouth University. He is from the North West of England.

What is your proudest achievement while working at Imageworks?
Getting 50+ suit replacement shots done at the last minute on SPIDER-MAN FAR FROM HOME thanks to various vendors around the world as well as our own incredible team.
What inspired you to becoming involved in making movies?
My family for telling me it was not a ridiculous idea, the ORIGINAL JURASSIC PARK, and obviously STAR WARS.
